Year 6 Transition

We are delighted to welcome your child to our school community for September 2026.
Securing a place at secondary school marks an important milestone and we are excited that your child will be beginning this next chapter with us. Our school is built upon high expectations, strong values and a genuine commitment to ensuring that every student feels known, supported and inspired to succeed.

We are proud to be a warm, inclusive and aspirational school where students are encouraged to aim high and develop confidence, resilience and character alongside academic excellence. From their very first day, your child will be supported by dedicated staff who are passionate about their subjects and committed to delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.

Beyond the classroom, our extensive enrichment programme offers opportunities for students to discover new interests, build friendships and develop important life skills.

Starting secondary school is an exciting step, however we appreciate that it can also bring understandable nerves. Please be assured that we place great importance on the transition from primary education. Our carefully planned transition programme will help your child feel settled and confident as quickly as possible. A dedicated team of staff will be on hand to guide and support them as they become familiar with their new routines, teachers and surroundings.

We firmly believe that strong partnerships with parents and carers are key to a child’s success. We look forward to working closely with you over the coming years, keeping you informed and involved in your child’s progress and achievements. Together, we can ensure that your child thrives both academically and personally.

In the coming months, you will receive further information about transition events and key dates to help you prepare for September. In the meantime, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming your child and supporting them as they begin what we are confident will be a successful and rewarding journey.
